In 1871, Sebastian C. Adams published the Synchronological Chart of Universal History — twenty-three feet of paper that compress world history from the Creation to the late nineteenth century into a single continuous visual timeline. It was revised in 1881 and became one of the most widely distributed wall charts in American history.
This companion app lets you explore the entire chart in high resolution, search its 13,000+ transcribed entries by name, date, nation, or event, and zoom directly to any point on the timeline.
